This medicine is not right for everyone. Do not use it if you had an allergic reaction to remibrutinib.How to Use This Medicine:
Tablet
- Your doctor will tell you how much medicine to use. Do not use more than directed.
- Swallow the tablet whole with water. Do not split, crush, or chew it.
- Read and follow the patient instructions that come with this medicine. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you have any questions.
- Missed dose: If a dose is missed, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not double doses.
- Store the medicine in a closed container at room temperature, away from heat, moisture, and direct light. Store the tablets in its original container.
Drugs and Foods to Avoid:
Ask your doctor or pharmacist before using any other medicine, including over-the-counter medicines, vitamins, and herbal products.
- Some medicines can affect how remibrutinib works. Tell your doctor if you are using carbamazepine, digoxin, efavirenz, erythromycin, ritonavir, rosuvastatin, or a blood thinner.
- Do not eat grapefruit or drink grapefruit juice while you are using this medicine.
- This medicine may interfere with vaccines. Ask your doctor before you get a flu shot or any other vaccines.
Warnings While Using This Medicine:
- Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have liver disease, bleeding problems, or a recent surgery.
- This medicine may increase your risk of bleeding.
- Tell any doctor or dentist who treats you that you are using this medicine. You may need to stop using this medicine several days before you have surgery or medical tests. You may need to stop using this medicine 3 to 7 days before and after having surgery.
- Your doctor will do lab tests at regular visits to check on the effects of this medicine. Keep all appointments.
- Keep all medicine out of the reach of children. Never share your medicine with anyone.
Possible Side Effects While Using This Medicine:
Call your doctor right away if you notice any of these side effects:
- Allergic reaction: Itching or hives, swelling in your face or hands, swelling or tingling in your mouth or throat, chest tightness, trouble breathing
- Black, tarry stools, blood in the urine, bruising, coughing up blood
- Fever, chills, cough, runny or stuffy nose, sore throat, body aches
If you notice these less serious side effects, talk with your doctor:
- Headache
- Nausea, stomach pain
